Older Adult Sexuality Lecture: Postponed
It’s going to happen. The number of candles will increase, the wrinkles will appear, the hair will take on a silvery gleam. All well and good, but what does this mean for sexual activity once you reach “a certain age?”
We’ll start by talking about some of the sillier and more serious myths and truths about aging and sex. But why stop there? We’re also going to explore places that you can find information about this topic not limited to, but including what changes may impact what you can do, what products might be helpful, and how might you talk to people in your life about this. After all, where there’s life, there’s joy!
There will be a discussion and show-and-tell woven throughout the lecture. Following the 7-8pm lecture, there will be time for some Q&A.
Who should attend:
- all ages, all genders, all orientations
- people who enjoy (or want to enjoy) sex while experiencing physical limitations
- folks who are curious about the impacts of aging on sexuality
- parents, empty-nesters
- service providers
RSVP required: We only have room for 30 chairs. Register on Spot of Delight's website (cash out here, it will say $0). We'll have your email on the guest list, no need to bring a ticket.
Accessibility: Unfortunately Spot of Delight is not a physically accessible location. A 4 inch curb proceeds our front door. This is our only entrance as well as our only emergency exit. There is an 8 inch platform on our classroom floor, and narrow stairs leading to our basement washrooms. Wheelchairs have fit through our doors, but scooters have not.
This event is FREE! Everyone is welcome to attend. Street parking is free after 6pm. Bring a travel mug to enjoy tea and water on-site.
No fragrances. Please leave your scents at home.
